Does anyone possibly know who can test and repair mecer inverters in the western Cape

@Chris Louw thank you. Complete disclosure, I am no electronic er electrical expert. How and what would the procedure and set up be to be able to use a resistor (kettle element) to start it?

@Coulomb thank you unfortunately out here I doubt I will be able to find any components. The battery was at Hubble and they charged it to 30%,maybe that is not enough as you just said, please let me know if it should be charged higher

Hi @BritishRacingGreen I am well thank you. I am in the Western Cape up the west coast. Unfortunately we don't have any solar guys in town here or close by. If it is not a problem I could repair myself I will have to get the inverter to a repair shop in Cape Town sometime.

I am a pensioner and was away in hospital when they stole all my solar panels, ran out of elec and battery drained. Battery locked and and went in to be reset. Got the battery back this afternoon and now the inverter does nothing t want to start up. It keeps flashing as per the video. Hopefully someone will be able to advise. The inverter is a mecer 5kw 48v model number sol-l-am-5m. The battery is a Hubble am2 VID_20230817_182208~3.mp4
