Pylontech issues
Just an update on my initial post. Segen reassessed and ended up getting the go ahead to replace my old Pylontech US3000s with 2x new US3000Cs. Now just waiting for Sunsynk inverter installer to come back. Li BMS setting not picking-up SOC, extra.

Pylontech issues
Thank you for the above feedback!! I was asked whether Segen should go ahead and dispose of the batteries and I said "No". Should definitely get them back and possibly take them to Solar Deity.

Pylontech issues
Did ask Segen to send me the report that was initially sent to Pylontech HQ.

Pylontech issues
Hi. Yes, I didn't see the reports downloaded from the batteries. The report they sent me was because I wanted to send something to my insurance. Doubtful that they would cover anything, they'd argue wear and tear if not covered by a warranty. I did try and reach out to Segen given their Root Causes assessment which clearly doesn't rule out BMS issue (to your point above). Also reached out to vendor I bought them from, who says they have also had some issues with other clients and not getting satisfactory response.

Pylontech issues
This is what I got from Segen. Didn't see any other report that was sent to Pylontech HQ. Old setup: changed 1 week ago. 2x Kodak 5kw inverters with 4x US3000 (old). Kodak has Pylontech setting with communication cable. Have now changed to 16kw Sunsynk inverter and wanted to corect battery setup, which is why I sent it off for testing. Pylontech issues
Hi everyone, I have 4x Pylontech US3000s (old ones). Noticed that one of my batteries charging wasn't in sync with others. Long story short, ended up that two batteries had an issue. Segen ran tests and sent report to Pylontech HQ. Feeback, batteries abused and were over charged and not covered by any warranty. Surely BMS should managed that? What a waste of money and clearly makes me question whether I should replace the two batteries if their after sales support is seemingly poor!!! Also reaching out to vendor who sold me the batteries in first place but doubt that would make any difference. Any advise? Cheers, Jay (Johannesburg)

More batteries vs more panels.
Morning! We have 2x Kodaks 5kva inverters, 4x US3000 Pylontechs and 24 panels. I was contemplating buying another UP5000 to add to my current parallel setup. I'm a little worried that it just means more charging from Eskom when it's available to top-up all the batteries and whether it's worth it or adding more panels would make more sense. With the unpredictable loadshedding I've changed inverters to run Solar, Utility and then Battery. Any advise? Thanks, Jay

Parallel vs standalone
Morning Everyone, We started our journey towards end of 2019 and into 2020. System 24 panels, 2x Kodak King inverters (5KW each). The slave always has 04 error (which I believe is a battery voltage issue). Spending more time at home, I've monitoring the system at various times of the day and seems to be there most of the time. I'm now contemplating splitting my current parallel setup into outside (borehole, pool, fence, etc) and inside. I have spare lithium batteries that aren't being used as well. Clearly there would be an additional cost setting up DB board, etc. Can anyone help guide me in this process? Maybe had a similar issue? Would splitting it make a difference? All the best for 2021 everyone! Cheers, Jeroen

Battery Setup Help
Morning Everyone, I have 4x Pylontechs setup in parallel. Confused, the DIP switches. Getting conflicting answers on what the settings should be. Should they all be on same (say 1st switch up and others down, and the same for all 4). Thanks, Jeroen

Remote ICC Monitoring
Hi Guys, We have 3 phase so very likely that's reason we haven't had much joy with plug-in extenders.

Remote ICC Monitoring
Morning, My solar setup is in our garage. However, cannot get ICC communicator to work. WiFi signal too weak. The plug-in extenders haven't worked for me, and got a quote to install Unifi extenders at R5000+ to run from garage to house router. Sounds crazy, anyone had to extend their WiFi and can maybe comment on whether quote is fair - appreciate that the running of network cable is dependent on distance between two points. Thanks, Jeroen

LFeLi-48100TB batteries
Hi Everyone, I bought 2x of these batteries from The Solar Shop (online) a while back. The shop turns out to be dodgy, can't get hold of anyone to sort out my issues. My inverter keeps on showing battery low but yet when Eskom goes out we do have power. My inverter supplier doesn't know the brand. My Kodak King 5kva inverters have a setting for Pylontech batteries so thinking if taking the knock (again!) and buy those but my current ones are 4.8kw as far as I know so 3.5 pylontech would seem like a power backup downgrade. First prize is figuring out the current batteries and getting them sorted. Anyone have experience, and in Johannesburg area?
