  1. Update for the guys with the same issue. Had the firmware updated and generator is working fine on inverter now.
  2. I had the same issue. connected inverter before main earth leakage and replaced the earth leakage in the new db box with a good brand, CBi. Do not disconnect the earth from the essential load.
  3. Hi guys, Has anyone managed to get a 7kva petrol generator to charge the batteries on a deye inverter? Generator is connected on the generator port on inverter, the generator signal comes on and shows between 225 to 230v but doesn't supply power. Please advise?

  5. Hi guys, i have 5KW Deye inverter with a battery which im currently using as a backup supply for power outages. if i connect a generator on the gen port to charge the batteries during a power outage, will the inverter automatically cut the power coming the generator once the grid comes back on?

can the deye inverter combine solar and grid power to supply the load? instead of solar/battery combination.

i had an external AVS for the grid supply to the inverter, reason for this is the power surges that happen when eskom power is restored. this protects the inverter from damage by these surges. so i was wondering when changing inverters now, if the deye would still require this external AVS to protect it from surges.

Does the Deye require an external AVS?

yes for connection to grid, using as a backup system currently.

Hi guys, Quick question, Do the DEYE inverters require an external AVS (Auto Voltage stabilizer) to be connected? also, what makes the DEYE superior to the likes of Growatt? thanks
