Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Axpert Inverter and SHOTO SDC 10-Box5 5.12kw battery settings
Hi, The settings are quite conservative, charging up to 90%, I have also set the cut off at 30% but as it is just battery backup, it does not use too much during loadshedding periods. It was the 16 cell that was confusing the settings for me. This is the cable Online Shop | SolarAssistant (solar-assistant.io)

Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Axpert Inverter and SHOTO SDC 10-Box5 5.12kw battery settings
Hi, I have a Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Axpert Inverter and have the Shoto SDC 10-Box5 5.12kw lithium battery. I am looking for some guidance on the settings on the inverter side. I have attached the screenshot of the Battery manual, and the inverter plate. Some I think are correct. Currently I am using it for pure backup (no panels). I also have it connected to a Raspberry PI and using Solar Assistant software. I know 12 and 13 are not taking into consideration when set to UEI on 01 setting. Currently set to the below settings, but I assume something is too low on the charge side as the inverter thinks the battery is fully charged, but the Solar Assistant says 79% charged, All the lights on the battery show all green for charged, so there is definitely a disconnect somewhere. Thank you very much. Mecer Inverter settings 01 = UEI (Utility first the Battery) 02 Max Charge Current = (30A) 05 Battery Type = (USE) --12 Setting Voltage point back to Utility (SBU priority) = (48v) --13 Voltage point back to battery mode when using SBU in 01 = (51v) 26 Bulk Charging Voltage = (54v) 27 Floating Charging Voltage = (54V) 29 Low DC Cut Off Voltage = (47V) Battery Manual DOC = 80% Charge Voltage = 54v - 56.4v Discharge Voltage = 45v - 48v Nominal Voltage = 51.2v Charge Discharge Current = 50A

Costing of 2nd hand Inverter and Battery
Hi, My dad has just upgraded his Inverter and batteries and has the following sitting in the garage but unsure what the value of the old inverter and battery would be plus where to sell it. Any ideas what this is worth Mecer inverter SOL-I-AX-3kv 24v (Jan 2019) 2 x ACDC SolarGel 250ah batteries Jan 2019 2 x ACDC SolarGel 250ah batteries May 2020 1 x Fuse breaker Cables for the Batteries. The Batteries have been well looked after with circulating using the inverter them on a regular basis. Thanx Gordon

Compatible Lithium Battery for Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Inverter
Thank you very much. Think I will then play it safe and go for the 4.8 kw pylontech as I know it will work (with the correct cables) over looking at the shoto. Pretty much the same price anyway.

Compatible Lithium Battery for Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Inverter
The other battery i was looking at is the Pylontech Lithium Ion 4.8kW UP5000 Battery. I assume it will work with the Mecer inverter I have. Some more information The US3000C range can provide 37A each, which’s about 1700W per parallel battery. The US2000B can provide 25A each which is about 1200W per parallel battery. The UP2500 can provide 26A each which is about 1340 W per parallel battery. The UP5000 can provide 50A each which is about 2400W per parallel battery. The number of parallel batteries should be suitably selected for the power rating of the inverter to avoid damaging the batteries. Correct Inverter Selection: With all High-Frequency inverters such as the Kodak and Mecer type inverter, the batteries supported continuous discharge current can be 70% of the inverter's capacity. For a 5kVA inverter that requires a total discharge current of 5000W / 48V = 105A, the supported continuous battery discharge current can be 73.5A Please note the correct BMS Cable for communication to the Pylontech range is packaged with the inverter for all KODAK inverters. Transformer based inverters or Victron inverters specifically specify a 100% continuous discharge current from the batteries. As an example for a 5kVA Victron which is 4kW the battery requirement would be 4000W / 48V = 83A continuous discharge current from the batteries. In this case a full 3x US3000 or 4x US2000 batteries would be required.

Compatible Lithium Battery for Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Inverter
Hi, I would like to know what Lithium Batteries are compatible with Mecer SOL-I-AX-5P64 Inverter. Looking to change my current solar Gel batteries. I was looking at the SHOTO 5.12KWH LI-ION BATTERY. Would that work. Will I need something like the raspberry Pi and Solar Assistant to manage the system. Currently it will just be inverter and battery for backup charging from eskom, but sometime in the future I would like to add panels.
