Please help!
I have a Pylontech UP5000 that does not want to switch on. No lights come on. I measure 48v on the terminals and each cell measures exactly 3.2V (measured on balance plugs).
Inverter can't communicate with the battery nor can I connect to it with batteryviewer over serial.
This is a battery being sold on Marketplace for a decent price. Seller is stating that LED indicator lights stopped working a while ago, but that the inverter kept going. I suspect he was using it in lead 'acid mode'. I haven't tried it like that though. Seller allowed me to bring battery home to try and revive it (we have mutual friends ).
There's no obvious burns or smells on the BMS (it's still in the enclosure so haven't checked the back of the board yet.)
Where do I start?
Many thanks!
