Eskom monthly grid reading showing completely different than Sunsynk Inverter logger
Here is an update on the initial issue I had at the start of this thread: this issue went away and my inverter stats matches my eskom actual readings pretty closely, but I am not sure what the exact solution was. The following changes I did could have solved the issue : 1. I did a firmware upgrade,(2101247006f comm:e41c-mcu:3370) 2. changing the "Inverter power limiter" to 5000w 3. Eskom perhaps was doing the wrong readings before and now doing it correctly 4. it corrected itself.

Good point yes, although the statement says "Actual" I guess it would be good to prove it is. Will try to get a photo proof (and then wait week and take another) and compare it to the Inverter logger stats.

Eskom monthly grid reading showing completely different than Sunsynk Inverter logger
This seems like the next step at the moment. From what my installer said is that there is a different reading. FYI when setting the grid trickle feed to 50w, it does show up on the grid section yes it showed 50w trickling from the grid. Yes perhaps not the best idea to trust Eskom, so thanks for highlighting again that perhaps I am getting (or someone is taking) the wrong reading for Eskom (even though it has been sort of constant 3 times in row now). I will try to contact Eskom to show me what the reading is, or perhaps see if the lock was perhaps left unlocked and have a look myself.

Eskom monthly grid reading showing completely different than Sunsynk Inverter logger
Thanks PowerUser for providing the manual extract pic - I will make this change, however I don't think this will solve my specific issue... it seems that it is "Max sell power" related, and I am not pushing back to the grid at all. And I don't see anything in the manual that would indicate that this would cause a difference in inverter & grid reading.

Do you think this would solve my specific issue / another issue? I am not exactly sure what this doe but will give it a go if it is standard : )

Eskom monthly grid reading showing completely different than Sunsynk Inverter logger
I just want to drop a big thanks here, man you guys are quick in responding trying to assist some random dude in Cape Town! Great forum. I have appliances like the geyser and stove on the non essential side. And dont want to switch off Eskom completely incase I pull too much power from the batteries & solar. This is what it is showing now with the geyser (2kw) switched on. The house icon is showing Watts used.

Eskom monthly grid reading showing completely different than Sunsynk Inverter logger
Hi all. I need some advice on different readings on my Eskom meter and Inverter (Sunsynk 5kw) logger. Basically, it is summertime now and as far as my knowledge goes my batteries & solar should be enough to not require me to pull any energy from the grid. My inverter shows 0kwh energy purchased, but my Eskom actual reading shows around 150kwh per month. Unfortunately I do not have access to my Eskom meter (locked in box), but this is the third time I am questions the actual readings in a row. For example, for the month of Dec & Jan 2021, according to Eskom I have used 326kwh. According to the logger (exported from solarmanpv.com) I am using 0kwh grid power: FYI: Here are more daily stats from the logger matching the exact Eskom range Statistics-.xlsx I have a CT clamp and do not export anything back into the grid. This is my inverter settings, not sure if this will add value: The installer said he doesn't exactly know what could be causing this, but perhaps it could be that the 'current transformer should not be extended further than 10m, it might be a sensor issue'. Not sure what that means, but the inverter is about 14m away from the DB board. Do I need to get another inverter meter or something to give a more accurate reading? Is this normal / has anyone seen this issue? Any suggestions? .

Main differences between Deye 5kw and Goodwe ES 4.6kw inverter
Hi all. I am trying to get into solar, but struggling to decide on a decent inverter. I am getting so many different strong views on all these inverters, I have now decided that I just want to pick between these two affordable inverters. Deye 5kw: https://solaradvice.co.za/product/deye-5kw-hybrid-inverter/ Goodwe 4.6kw: https://solaradvice.co.za/product/goodwe-hybrid-inverter/ Is the Goodwe better in any way? Is it R10k better? I really want to choose the Deye because its R10k cheaper! Any advice or reviews of the Deye?
