No "Eskom" Power at times after solar installation
divanvanderwatt replied to divanvanderwatt's topic in Starting In Solar? Feel free to introduce yourselfInterestingly, in trying to isolate the problem, today I switched off my heatpump’s (for geyser) breaker, and no 0 voltage and grid stayed connected 🤷♂️

No "Eskom" Power at times after solar installation
divanvanderwatt replied to divanvanderwatt's topic in Starting In Solar? Feel free to introduce yourselfIs it possible that it disconnects the grid because the voltage is too high? Only happens between 12-3pm every day. See below from WatchPower app, the grid voltage is 0 when it happens.

Parallel connected inverters communication to battery bank
KODAK still is Axpert so my understanding it should be as you say. Eish, any advice/suggestions how to fix it? Guess its not just changing the dip switches. Some recabling too?

Parallel connected inverters communication to battery bank
I believe they are paralleled still, however not being an expert at all, I can’t be a 100% sure.

No "Eskom" Power at times after solar installation
I have a 15KW system (2 Parallel 7.5 Kodak Inverters) with 4x Plyontech batteries (10KW in total). This has been an upgrade from a previous 3KW inverter with a seperate MPPT charger. Did the upgrade as it couldn't handle pool pump, pool heat pump etc. The previous system didn't have a change over DB, so the upgrade was a complete overhaul, and am very happy with it. However since the upgrade, every day around the same time (between 12h00 and 14h00) the system seems to disconnect the grid. i.e. No Eskom available. The pre-paid meter is still on, as in the picture below. The oven is not connected to the solar hence everytime "Eskom switches off" the oven goes off. The disconnect lasts for a minute at most. No breakers tripping. You can hear a slight dip in the pool pump when this switch happen. Have gone for a day with running minimum load to isolate the problem but still happened on a 3% load (basically just fridges, tv). I am not at home during the day so can't really check if there are any errors on the inverter, but will try and hook it up to WatchPower tonight to see if there are any logs. Taking a long shot, any ideas what this could be? I have contacted the installer but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Parallel connected inverters communication to battery bank
Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, where can I see the firmware for the removable display? The installer came and connected 2x Plyontech batteries to the one inverter and the other 2x Plyontech batteries to the other inverter, so both have communications now while still functioning as one battery bank. Not sure how it works but batteries work fine now 🙂

Parallel connected inverters communication to battery bank
Hi everyone I am very new to this forum as well as solar installations. I just had an installation done at home with two inverters in parallel (KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter MAX 7.2kW 48V) with four 2.4KW PlyonTech Batteries. I have a question regarding the communication to the batteries, only one inverter has a comms cable (RJ45) that goes to the batteries. The result is that one inverter knows the exact capacity of the batteries at a certain time, say 97% fully charged while the other inverter thinks the batteries are only 23% charged for example. Can both inverters be connected to communicate to the batteries and if so, how? Attached are some pictures showing the batteries fully charged, with one inverter showing almost full and the other only has one bar.
