Hi All
First post on the forum, so excuse the ignorance. Recently moved over to Axpert King(two inverters in parallel). Have been off-grid on farm for the last three years, so in all but the most cloudy of days I manage happily without a generator. I was under the impression with the Axpert King I could connect "smallish" generator to it, and would have the ability to use the power supplied by the generator for charging the batteries only i.e. rest of load is supported by PV and battery. Hence a 2kVa generator can be connected to the inverters, but the inverters still have the ability to push out 10kVa. Was this the correct assumption? Or is the utility used to power all the loads and the solar power generated only charges the batteries with the generator connected. This would mean my 2kVa generator will quickly run out of steam with larger loads?
