Axpert Max, 7.2KW (Kodak Max)-Mains exist but inverter showing 0 on AC in

Featured Replies

Dear All

I have installed a Kodak Max, 7.2 Kw inverter and has been working well for 3 months. It has just started showing 0 on AC in and yet Mains is there. I have tested on the terminals inside the inverter and i am getting 230v and still not showing  mains on the display and it continues working in Battery Mode.

Any fix on this problem?

You may be able to test the fuse without removing completely the entire cover & damaging the warranty sticker. Undo all the screws carefully & neatly on the sides then open the inverter on the side opposite to the warranty sticker. You may need someone to carefully do this & keep hold of the sticker & cover to make sure it stays intact by opening it up only a tiny bit to allow a multimeter probe. With a multimeter measure from the bottom terminal & the above to the other side toward the end of the fused end. If there is no supply, the fuse is indeed blown.

I guess the other option is to get a warranty claim & get them to replace the said fuse & troubleshoot.

Whichever makes you more comfortable I guess. I understand that a warranty is a very important aspect of one's purchase.

Hi 87 Dream

I want to ask you something off this topic.

We have a off grid solar system, 12x360 panels, 3x3.6 pilontech, mecer MKS2 5kw inverter with ICC monitorring, running very well for 2.5 years.

We want to upgrade the inverter to a 8kw axpert max, for the extra peak and second MPPT

You seem to me like a installer and maybe dealer, I am in Centurion, would it be possible to come and see you and discuss our options?

Hi, I have the same problem with my max, mains is on but the inverter is not detecting it.  I opened her up and found a fuse (63LET) on the main AC in. Its kind of strange that it is rated for 63A and it popped, thats about 15kW. the breaker 40A did not trip. So I suspect that it is some sort of transient which the fuse cleared within one cycle, where the breaker needs two or three cycles to trip. Anyways here is a couple of pics.
