Charge anomaly - Pylontech US3000A V3.4 - Victron EasySolar 48/5000 (e.g. Multiplus with GX Interface)

Featured Replies

Good day,

I have been battling with this new behaviour for a few days,  since upgrading the US3000A from V1.3 to V3.4 (updated due to requirement to add 2 x US3000C).
Update went fine and new BMS battery screens are available in the Victron Display as expected.
The ESS system is set to Keep Batteries Charged, as the system is basically used as a UPS.

The night time charging is where things changed after the Pylontech update, no other settings were changed and there are now coms errors or alarms, etc.
The charge mode now cycles between Bulk and Absorption and the 48V BUS Voltage between 50.2V and 52.4V (previously it was kept at 52.4V
(Battery is at
100% SOC).

Any advice would be appreciated, and is this how Pylontech now maintain 100% SOC on the cells?
