Hi Guys,

Been a lurker on the forum for a week or 2 now, and finally figured out what info I need to get going with my Installation.
I hope this isn't a duplicate topic, I did attempt to search for similar queries.

I have purchased an RCT Axpert King 5W, and Revov R100 100ah 48v battery.
I'm going to have an electrician do the final connections, but I want to get the ball rolling and get it mostly set up myself to help save costs.

My question is in regard to the wiring of the inverter to the Main DB in my house.
Do the breakers that I want to be powered by the inverter have to be exclusively run through the inverter?
ie: I cant have mains and inverter cables connected to the same breaker?
My feeling is I cannot, as I wouldn't want the inverter power to backfeed into the mains power, therefore powering my entire DB.
Is my logic correct?

So am I right in assuming, if my inverter or batteries fail, I would be left without power to those respective breakers?
In which case, I will have to have a manual change over switch, to completely isolate the inverter system from my DB, thereby powering everything via the mains.

Is there any bypass feature on the Axpert King? Whereby it can ignore the battery and just let mains power flow through it to power the breakers?

Any help or even basic wiring diagrams would be greatly appreciated.
I obviously am not an electrician, but I'm fairly savvy with electronics, and I'd just like to check that my logic is sound.

Thanks guys

Yes. You can have a changeover switch to bypass the system, or use the bypass feature of the inverter.

Yes.  It is not available on paralleled Kings but that should not be an issue for you.

Thanks for the info Calvin.

I've managed to have the inverter system installed and seems to be functioning.

The problem I now have is trying to get the Revov R100 BMS to talk to the Axpert King.
Revov products seem to be so incredibly poorly documented that its impossible to find the right info from them directly.

My King has a CANbus port and so does the Revov. I've read that the pinouts are most likely not consistent and a straight ethernet cable probably wont work.
Does anyone happen to know the pinouts on both the Axpert King side, and the Revov R100 side?
I'm able to crimp cables myself, so this wont be an issue, I just need the correct pinout.
My worst nightmare would be getting this wrong and burning out COM ports by putting voltage to the wrong pins.

I am using SolarAssistant on a Raspberry Pi to monitor my inverter and would like to also have it monitor the battery as well and allow me to adjust settings etc.
Would I be able to do this by connecting the battery to the inverter via CANbus? or should I go RJ10 RS232 to USB directly to the Pi?
If RS232 is the way to go, where on earth do I get a cable like that?
