Deye Inverter not utilising PV when no grid

Featured Replies

I have a 3 Phase 12 KVA Deye Hybrid inverter installed, Model SUN-12K-SG04LP3-EU with Racpower BN52V-100-5.2k BP batteries

The system works fine when the grid is available or for short periods when the grid is offline.  However, when the grid is unavailable for a number of days and the batteries drain, the inverter is not using any available PV unless I switch the load off.

With the load on, the inverter just continues to drain the batteries to shutdown and PV shows 0W.  As soon as I switch the load off, the inverter starts charging the batteries from the available PV.  In other words I’m unable to run any load devices while charging the system at the same time.

An hour ago with all the loads switched off I was getting 5.5kW PV which was charging the batteries (30% SOC).  As soon as the load was switched on the PV dropped to 0kW and the batteries power the load and discharges.

Seems with the server maintenance on the forum the previous responses got wiped.

While I haven’t resolved the problem, Eskom has restored our sub that went boom but now I’m getting a grid phase error W3
