There isn't a lot of detail, for example: does the equalise stage happen exactly every month? is it possible to switch it off? On a sunny day my system would have a fully charged battery and the house would be powered by my solar panels. There would be a sudden loss of voltage from the PV and then when it returned the battery voltage would spike and the battery protection would switch the battery off. The system would switch between battery and utility and switching the whole inverter off. This would cycle for up to an hour if I didn't interfere by disconnecting the PV panels for a while. I was hoping the manual would give me access to some hidden parameters as some instruments do and maybe I could change something. I have done so with the parameters I have access to but only after some dishonest incompetent changed the wiring on my panels and didn't solve the problem. The problem I now face is that nobody wants to touch my setup. Mainly because the expensive installation was done with cheap equipment and the installation is not compliant so no COC. Quote
0 P1000 Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Yeah, if your equipment does not even come with a manual, then you can't really expect much of the electronics. It sounds like the control loop is too slow and your batteries are very fast to disconnect. A workaround might be to disconnect some of the panels. I suspect the real fix would be a better MPPT.
