August 4, 20223 yr Hi all I just recently had a system installed with a Dyness BX51100 battery I am running SolarAsssitant to monitor things. The battery info is giving really weird results - could the BMS of the battery be faulty? See the reading on pack 1.
August 4, 20223 yr You have two of these batteries? Are the dip switches set correctly? The 400A by itself with zero voltage and zero Watts is an indication of some sort of comms issue. Yes, it could be the BMS, but it could also be the comms connection to the inverter or dip switches not set correctly. Have you tried disconnecting the comms cable from the battery, then manually set your inverter in USE mode or non Li mode and set all voltages according to battery specs. Reboot the system and batteries and see if the battery readings in SA change afterwards.
August 4, 20223 yr Author Hi all I had to upgrade to a beta release of the SolarAssist software. All seems fine now excep that it reads the battery as 50Ah. But capacity SOC and Voltage readings look normal now at least.

Only asking because I have some challenges getting the SA connection going on my end

Its doesn't affect the battery runtime.

August 7, 20223 yr Aaah ok, then thats the issue i have. Will disconnect that one and use the SA one and see how thay goes. How does the inverter then know how to manage the battery though with the bms 'disconnected' for lack of a better word
