Hello everybody.

What is the cheapest option for remote monitoring of electric motor starters like Soft starters & Variable frequency drives. Is the Raspberry pi feasible?

    Remote monitoring is an open term. I would guess putting the right VSD on ethernet could work. I think a Raspberry Pi will work but I suspect an Arduino will be cheaper. For power you could look at the Sonoff PowR3, Efergy meters of even LifeSmart.
