Hi Folks. 

I had a 8kw Deye hybrid inverter installed with two 5.1kwh lithium ion batteries. What is the minimum size generator I can connect to the inverter to only charge the batteries on cloudy/rainy days? Have a 6.5kva Talon genny at the moment.

Hi David. 
 

The 6.5kva will work. Just know that the generator needs to supply the essential load as well as charge the battery so limit the charge current to the battery and you will be fine. Best to wire it into the AUX port
