Recommendation for Solar Setup

Hello Everyone,

I have installed 1250W solar panel array and 2x24V acid batteries. I have Xpert MKS 3KVA with 60A charge controller inverter. The length of cable from PV array to the inverter is 72feet and its size is 8AWG.

Please guide me how to setup my inverter settings to get the maximum output from my array. What are any other suggestions?

For starters do you know what open voltage your panels are running at or just the speck sheet of both your inverter and panels. Cables seems to be ok providing the voltages is ok as well. We would also need to see the speck sheet for the batts as that will tells us what the charge voltage should be on the SCC.

So all in all spec sheets on the devices.

8AWG is a tad bit thin on that length. How are your panels configured? i.e. what size panels, and how many panels per string?

The size of panels is 250W each and I have connected 5 panels in parallel.
