November 20, 20223 yr Good afternoon, I installed a Luxpower SNA5000 inverter with a single Shoto SDC10-Box 5 (5.12kWh) battery a few days ago. The supplier advised me to set it up using a Lead-Acid configuration, apparently because of communication problems between Luxpower and Shoto. Everything works very good using the setup figures he gave me. My questions are: 1. How/where do I see if the battery BMS communicates with the inverter? I modified the comms cable to match the pin connections as given by Shoto, so, I have a feeling that it should work, but I can't see it. 2. Apart from using the correct pin connections, are there any other setup details required to get communication going? 3. What is best for the battery, to have it set up as Li-Ion and allow the BMS and inverter communication to do the work? 4. If proper communication is established, are there any specific setup figures that have to be put in anyway? For example, do I use SOC or Volts?
November 24, 20223 yr Set it up as a lithium pylontech on the inverter and use the same pin outs as the pylontech us3000c for the bms cable, shoto has them back to front in their manual.
