Hi,

i want to run my CC PI 5v from my 48v battery, load shedding during the night also creat occasional darkness in the inverter room. I thus also want to use a 12v led.

Are there any off the shelf 48v to 12v dc, device's available or does someone have a cct to build one. I already have a 12v to 5v device.

Google for boost/buck converters say 150W. There are also a lot that only does the buck side. You can get 2 of the same and just adjust each on for the voltage required.

Most common is the 30V and lower but look at the specs and you will find some around 60V to adjust lower. Due to the high drop of voltage just use say a 12V fan for cooling.
