Provided you are with current limits, mixed circuits are allowed.  The problem with this is that your lights on that circuit are then on the earth leakage (because of the plugs).  You may not want this.  

I had my mixed circuits separated (pool sub DB was on the same circuit as main bedroom plugs and AC (!)), but not everyone is a control freak...

Step one of installing backup power/solar is to number your circuit breakers and label *every* plug/load in the house so you know what is what;

Step two is rearranging it from whatever shortcut illogical regime random electricians have produced over the years to something where you can properly separate your backup from non-backup loads, or even critical back, from non-critical backup, from non-backup;
