Good evening

I have a mecer 3kw inverter I was wondering is there a way to add Bluetooth to it without adding a raspberry Pi

Hi!

The Mecer 3kW inverter is an off-grid power inverter and does not typically have Bluetooth connectivity built-in. To add Bluetooth functionality, you can add a separate Bluetooth module to the inverter. However, adding a Raspberry Pi is not the only way to achieve this.

There are several commercially available Bluetooth modules that can be added to the inverter to provide Bluetooth connectivity. These modules typically communicate with the inverter through RS232, RS485, or USB, and can be programmed to provide the desired Bluetooth functionality.

I have the mecer sol-i-ax-3m24 hybrid inverter it's only got a USB type b underneath no other ports

That is very unusual, there should typically be also an RS232 RJ45 connection as well, this is sort of Voltronic de facto standard.
