Hi all

I've been scanning through the forum trying to get a feel for a 'safe bet' budget inverter brand/model- a 'Sunsynk of the cheapies' so to speak,  but can't see to find a solid recommendation.

My budget doesn't allow for a complete system with Sunsynk 5kW, Dyness and panels - that would be my obvious route but for now I'd rather go for a complete system than just a Sunsynk and a 50ah battery.

What I currently have:
- Rentech 500w portable power station connected to a secondary "essentials" DB - which powers pretty much everything in the house except the kitchen and geyser. The issue with this setup is that it is a manual switch over and the 500w output can't run things like the fridge.

What I'd like to power which I can't currently:
- Fridge, freezer, and microwave if I can (but not a must)
- My typical house draw (excl. geyser, kitchen and fridge-freezer) is around 200w

Ideal configuration:

- Operate as close to off-grid as possible / run all but the heaviest appliances off the inverter/battery/solar system
- Inverter be able to blend solar and/or battery/grid to efficiency and cost saving
- App based monitoring if possible

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

- Can I consider a 24v system or should I just go straight for 48v?
- I was considering something like the 'Lalela Hybrid Inverter 24V 3000VA / 3000W' (+- R7500), Mecer Hybrid Mks Plus 3Kva 2.4Kw 24Vdc (+- R9500) or pony up for a Luxpower SNA 5000 (+- R16 000). BlueNova 50aH LIFEPO4 (+- R10 000) and then panels.

Many thanks again.
