miguelm Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I am designing my solar system and want to use the expected excess Solar production between 11 and 3pm to power 4 x 3kw geysers, for an hour each. I'll put these on the 'non-essential' circuit on the SunSync inverter. Having 4x switches runs the risk of 1 of the switches getting out of time, and 2 geysers drawing at the same time and tripping the system. Can someone recommend a single digital switch that can manage 4 x switches please? Quote

If you want a single device, then I would suggest the SONOFF Smart Stackable Power Meter Alternatives would be 4x Sonoff POW (either 16A or 20A). Using these, I do not see a real risk of their time settings getting out of synch as they all rely on the same server miguelm 1 Quote

This will imply you have a very large PV system. This means more than 5kW of excess power to send to the non essential side? I would just go and use 4 Sonoff type smart switches as Wolfandy suggested. Leave 3 minutes of dead time between them and only 1 would get power at a time. Easy to disable on low sun periods like on whole day rain from your phone. Edited March 14, 2023 by Scorp007 wolfandy and miguelm 2 Quote
