Small(ish) portable power station

Featured Replies

I need to get a portable power station/inverter for my shop but have no idea where to start or what to look for. I would need it to power 5 x 38W lights and an electronic lock for our security gate which I don't think would be much. I reckon in total it wouldn't be more than 250W. What capacity should I be looking for & any suggestions on a good yet not incredibly expensive brand. Thanks

How long do you need it to power the lights for? If you are looking at 250w, and need it to run for 4 hours, you would need at least a 1kw battery.

38W x5 seems quite a lot for lights..

Always try to get your max as low as possible.. That is the start.

Yeah 2 or 4 or 8 hours? Lastly will need to know how quick you need to recharge those Portable Power Stations..

What sort of budget do you have in mind as that will determine what recommendations can be made?
