Esener, Volta & Felicity

Featured Replies

Hey all,

So I have been looking into these batteries and trying to decide whether it is worth giving them a go, pricing is quite appealing on some.

From what I can see, all 3 offer Lithium Iron Phosphate or Lithium Ferrophosphate cells from what I can tell. They also all seem to be 1C cells.

Esener have a 5 year warranty

Felicity have a 5 year warranty (Although I have heard 7 years from some, may be product dependent)

Volta have a 10 year warranty on the cells and 5 year warranty on the BMS

Not sure how much of a local presence each of these brands have, I am trying to reach out and find out still although I am wondering what experiences anyone on the forum has had with these three brands? I know that generally speaking, it seems warranties with a lot of battery brands seems to be up to how the person processing your claim feels on the day and if they want to help you or not.

Anyone have some feedback to provide or some additional information to share.

Just for clarity on the Felicity

After enquiring on some of their batteries directly with their people in China, this is the response I got.
You will see that their LFPBA series carry 7 years, LFPBF series 5 years and then they still have an LFBR series with a 3 year warranty, but those are seemingly for the local market there as I have not seen any of those on offer outside China.

I recommend you to choose LPBA48200 or LPBF48200-M.
LPBA48200(48v 200ah 10kwh): 7 Years warranty, 6000 cycle. CATL cell.

LPBF48200-M(48v 200ah 9.5kwh): 5 Years warranty, 6000 cycle. CALB cell.

LPBF48250(48v 250ah 12.5kwh): 5 Years warranty, 6000 cycle. BYD cell.

Bump, anyone got more info?

Lithium Iron Phosphate and Lithium Ferro phosphate is the same thing.

Some of the Felicity batteries use grade B cells, I cannot remember which models. If you do buy this make sure you understand what you are getting.

Volta seems decent, but they are pretty new in SA so not much information on performance and issues available.
