Growatt SPF5000ES Error 51

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if anyone has had the same experience with these inverters.  I have a Growatt SPF5000ES and get error 51 'Over Current or Surge' when connecting the EARTH from the Eskom supply.  I have disconnected everything from the inverter except the batteries, and as soon as I switch on the Eskom power to the inverter it gives me this error.  When I disconnect the EARTH from Eskom's side and power it up there is no problem and the inverter works fine.

Regards

I suggest if you have a multimeter to measure the voltage between neutral and earth on the Eskom side. It should not the higher than 2 Volts

Hi Antonio, thanks for the suggestion.  I see that I have 98 Volts between Neutral and Earth. 🙈

I imagine I should add bonding at my main DB box to fix this?

@Brandon Williams wow, there is something wrong with your earth, better get someone a (qualified sparkie) ASAP to check your house incomer, you have a very dangerous situation, I'm actually surprised that your earth leakage still operating.
