Deye 8kW inverter and Akkutech Bess 5.1kW battery compatability

Featured Replies

I have two Akkutech 5.2kW batteries connected to the Deye 8kW hybrid inverter. I do not have a comms cable connected and today there was a massive discrepancy in the reported SOC. The display on the batteries was showing 30% and the inverter was showing 62% and the batteries were not charging as my time of use is set to charge from the grid below 60%.

I pulled the fuses on the batteries and when I put them back the inverter showed they were 100%. (Still 30% on the battery)

Is there a way to rectify this and to prevent it from happening again?

Also I would like to use a comms cable but dont know how to connect it and even if the battery is compatible with the Deye inverter for the comms cable?

Any advice is welcome.

What are the Pin out settings to read the data on the BMS on these Akkuteck batteries, and what program is used for reading this?

Thanks!

Connect inverter to battery via CAN bus using normal CAN or LAN cable. Select BMS on the inverter. I think it’s the default type ‘1’. DIP switches are set according to the number of batteries.  See pic from manual.
