June 12, 20233 yr I'd like to install a smart switch of sorts to switch my geysers on/off at programmed intervals and on certain triggers via Home Assistant. I was just about ready to get some Sonoff POWR320D devices (POW Elite) as they seem to be just what I'm looking for. But then I noticed the Sonoff THR320D (TH Elite). They seem to be identically priced so now I'm not sure if there are some other fundamental differences between these two devices that I'm missing. With the TH Elite I can monitor the temperature of the geyser (if I buy the separate temperature sensor) and use that as another trigger for switching the geyser on or off. So what purpose does the POW Elite serve? What can it do that the TH Elite can not do? Even if I don't buy the temperature sensor which is sold separately, can the TH Elite do everything the POW Elite can do?
December 8, 20232 yr Hi The main difference is that the POW measures power/watts utilized vs TH temperature. The POW has voltage protection and overload protection. Aleks Sonoff Africa
