August 6, 20232 yr Hi all, I have a retrofit evacuated tube water heater that was fitted in 2012 and the company who did the fitment is no longer. The system consists of 10 tubes which are 70mm as opposed to the systems which seem to be the norm these days consisting of more tubes of lesser diameter. My one tube is fubar and another is a bit suspect meaning that I am not heating my geyser to the required temp on cloudy days. My geyser wise then kicks in and my solar is not quite where it needs to be. I have reached out to a number of solar installers regarding 70mm tubes to no avail. Here's hoping somebody on the forum has some info they can share. My geyser wise max also apparently cannot be upgraded to tuya so when it kicks in I cannot switch off remotely. I am being told I need to purchase a whole new system to upgrade. I really do not want to have to invest in an entirely new collector system or a new geyser wise. One option is to simply put a WiFi switch between the geyser wise and the geyser. Any thoughts from the wise forum members? Cheers B
