  1.    mzezman reacted to a post in a topic: Sunsynk use timer will not stay unticked
  2. Finally worked out where the problem was. Having Unticked grid peak shaving to no avail until I realised that the gen peak shaving setting would probably have the same same effect (yes I am that slow) I found that this was the case. I tried to untick via the app from work on Friday and for some reason the changes I do on my app do not go through despite the app popping up a notification that he change is actioned or some such. I did this on the inverter when I got home and lo and behold problem all sorted. Thank you so much for your help!! It would have been sorted same day if only my brain got into gear a little sooner. If anyone could tell me why changes made on the app don't take that would be great too, no doubt I am missing something? cheers Brent
  3. Thank you, I had read that post but it seemed to only affect the time settings boxes, not the main use timer check box. What is strange is that it used to work fine and dongle has not been changed and the individual boxes accept and hold changes without a problem. I will give it a go on the weekend and post with the positive or not result.
  4. Firmware version is latest. I unchecked the grid peak shaving and this made not difference. At a loss.
  5. Weird, my app shows them transposed.
  6. Hi, Mine was updated on 1/8 and is identical to yours except the numbers on the second string are transposed. S 1.7.2.4 did you perhaps transpose them when typing? Cheers Brent
  7. Hi guys, When my 8kw Sunynk inverter was installed all that I needed to do to charge when needed, was to untick the use timer box and the grid would charge the battery. Since two months ago the use timer box will not stay unticked. I untick the box, push ok and exit the system mode. When I go into the main screen I can see that the battery is not being charged and when going back into system mode, the box is ticked. If I go into other screens apart from the main screen and back into system mode, the box is still ticked so it is definitely not a case of the ok button not saving the change on exit of the use timer screen. I can charge the system by simply raising the particular time slot to 100% and ticking it and charging happens no problem, so it is only the use timer check box that defaults back to ticked. Scheduled charging levels seem to work fine. (No boxes are ticked in basic settings - so system is not locked to changes etc) The only thing that has been changed is that at one point I needed to charge from a generator so settings in the aux screen were changed in order to accomplish this but these have all been put back to normal. Sunsynk maintains that the way I now need to charge is normal and don't want to hear that the other systems installed work the way mine used to. We have done a firmware upgrade, shut the system off and restarted to no avail. I have not done a factory reset as yet. I am at a bit of a loss as to why this should have changed and what I can do to restore this function which is quite handy when you have someone housesitting who is not familiar with inverters. Anyone experienced the same problem and rectified this? cheers Brent
  8. Hi all, I have a retrofit evacuated tube water heater that was fitted in 2012 and the company who did the fitment is no longer. The system consists of 10 tubes which are 70mm as opposed to the systems which seem to be the norm these days consisting of more tubes of lesser diameter. My one tube is fubar and another is a bit suspect meaning that I am not heating my geyser to the required temp on cloudy days. My geyser wise then kicks in and my solar is not quite where it needs to be. I have reached out to a number of solar installers regarding 70mm tubes to no avail. Here's hoping somebody on the forum has some info they can share. My geyser wise max also apparently cannot be upgraded to tuya so when it kicks in I cannot switch off remotely. I am being told I need to purchase a whole new system to upgrade. I really do not want to have to invest in an entirely new collector system or a new geyser wise. One option is to simply put a WiFi switch between the geyser wise and the geyser. Any thoughts from the wise forum members? Cheers B
