September 12, 20232 yr do strings have to balanced.l eg on a 2 mppt inverter with 2 strings each can you do 12 +5 into 1 and say 10+5 on other? You can do it but the 12+5 you are wasting about 7 panels and on the 10+5 you losing 5 panels output. This is a estimate as the direction of the 4 strings are not indicated or what inverter you are using. As an indication 12+5 identical panels on 1 MPPT will yield about the same as 5+5.
September 12, 20232 yr Author so need to balance the panels into strings…32 x 545 panels into deye 20kw. have to have even nrs per 2strings into each mppt. even nrs for each orientation?

September 12, 20232 yr Author will this solution work?—, if we designed 4 strings, build a DC board to split them, we can split them before they connect to the inverter. the inverter will read and process only 2 strings, but we can wire all strings to a sub db before going to inverter some of the east and west panels will get sun longer, earlier or later so wanted to split as much.. possible to add external mppts. eg run 6 mppts. 1 for each roof?
