can induction on cables change the app readings - eg cable magnetic feed that cancels grid use kw on app or inverter but grid is used?

big wattage readings this morning (23 october 11am)
might have been deye cloud being dizzy but my 16 panel east string (545w) with optimisers showed 9,5kw aqainst a theoretical capacity of 8720

Saving on electricity after solar installation
just installed and commissioned our system…will check over next six weeks- generating 50-90kwh a day- so should see a difference in a month..tryibg to limit eskom to the cheap 600kwh and less a month

deye or Solare Europe - no one has a individual HV batt charger tester - a big business idea to balance batts here. But Pierre the sparky connects them off load and then they slowly equalise themselves - need 4-12 hrs though

PS - they only a week old (the first 4) then i decided to add more...to get rid of eskom overnight...i couldnt bear taking 18kwh from eskom overnight...

thanks - we have 8 batts now - we charged and ran in two sets of 4.. we now let them equalise each to voltage by connecting them (off load and not in circuit) - we got the voltage to 53.36-53,40 ranges for the 8 - (like a waterfall). we will run and disconnect some time for them to settle and feed each other off load and not in circuit - might need a few hours just sitting.. the SOC of the two sets were exactly the same 96,9% but voltages differed by 0,03-0,04V.. 6 of them are exactly 53,36 and only two are 53.37 and 53,40V. its like 2 of them are HIGH achievers... ps they came from 2 batches 23 march and 28 march. (4 each) DEYE DOES NOT HAVE A LARGE HV CHARGER HERE - BALANCING IS A BUGGER - big learning curve- HV batts on a deye 20kw - have to buy them in batches of 4... as the inverter does not turn on (DC circuit) with 3.... (160V) even with grid ON Lots of lesson learnt with HV system

hi bobster…i just went thru the same process…thought of one large battery…luckily i didnt…i instead went for a deye bos system…started with 4 batts …and adding some more now….storage ramp up… i can go up to 12 without admin…can add over time as needed… with the single large batts you will have to add a full new large one so the steps become larger…depends on ultimate set up…modularity helps…

do you only have 2 mppts? what about taking 2 each of north and add on west and east string (mmpt) respectively - then 9 per mppt - that is 450v max? then put optiimisers on the 4 north ones so they dont drag down early and late sunpower?'(depends on panel distances ?) 11x50 - 550v 7x50 =350 what can the sunsynk handle - 425?? check that ps - i am purely a user of solar ..not an engineer but had the same string balancing issues so had to figure it out..

anybody have battery glitches when adding batteries….we added 3 batts to the deye hv bos system with 4 in…apparently batts have to be the same charge when all running together… we had to use 1 of original 4 to start with 3 new ones (inverter only starts at 160V). it seemed the new batts were 100pct but now the bms goes from 50soc to 100pct in afew minutes,.. i guess the bms thinks batts are full but they not.. any experience with this.. have to charge individual batts to 100pct and then re assemble…

bats full - i just turn on 6 aircons to see how much i can generate...maxed out the PV at 14kw at about 1:30 pm and house was pulling 18kw

interestingly- the west panels really drop off lots after 5pm any idea why..west sun is hot but pv production lower…is the angle or distance of sun really so much less in west at 5pm..where my east panels start firing at 6:30am and rwally work welll at 8am…

hi guys i just finished my east west install and started generating power.. 15 east and 17 west panels getting about 2kw at 7am and 4 kw at 5pm with a peak about 12,4kw at 12/13:00 at 10:40am getting about 10kw the late west pv production is lower than expected 6pm it dies now..rays are soft at 6pm 9october.

How can I divide my inversor`s MPPTs??
most important is to balance into the strings—same voltage (wattage) into a strung pair! same amoubt of panels and same facing so you balance into string pairs mppts you can mix up but string pairs have to be balanced!

lehlo i went thru same issues - took a year to wait for right set up. go for a big 3phase unit. they can go unbalanced - eg a 12 can give you 6 in one phase and say 3 and 3 in others. i went for a larger 20kw one- can at least get 10 on 1 phase then- differnet parts of house runs at different times.. the singles will limit you to that specific wattage. one thing that is more important though is the strings balance- into mppts! this is the most important yo get the panels to match- hard lessons here. (if uou have more than 2 roof sections/or roof arrays) - make sure you have enough mppts if you roof is complicated! i had to oversize my panels and add optimisers to get panels all onto 2 strings- was inpossible to balance into 4 strings

ah thanks..i was worried gennie to big for inverter… but seems that works best for 380v and correct frequency… will have a manual bypass switch inverter to gennie as well in case…

i have a 40kw 3 phase generator…can i run it into deye 20kw 3 phase…my gennie is connected to house directly… eg eskom to gennie to house..
