March 5, 20242 yr Been a while since I was on the forum and into inverter news so am a bit out of touch. We have a small system right now that isn't handling the new loads. Got a custom 12v lifepo4 with old Daly bms on there. Looking for thoughts or recommendations on a 3kw inverter there abouts and 24v lifepo4 battery. We don't have the biggest budget, However if 5kw is only a few extra then can possibly do it.
March 5, 20242 yr It is far better going for a 48V system straight away. I made the mistake years ago of going for 24V, thinking it would be sufficient, but it cost me so much more to upgrade when it ended up too small for my needs. Even if you go for a 3Kw inverter, still make it 48V. To buy a bigger inverter is cheaper than buying a bigger inverter and battery. Honestly, from my experience a 5Kw inverter and 5kwh battery in 48V would be your best deal for the price.
