Luxpower SNA5000 Discharge Settings

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, my system is going on 1.5 years strong. Currently my discharge is set to 30% and then Eskom kicks in to charge my battery.

Is there a setting to rather discharge like the Deye Inverters, when reaching 30%(On Grid Discharge)  to let Eskom run the house consumption until the PV starts to charge the battery? I would rather want Eskom to run the house for that hour or two rather than charging the battery.

Thanks in advance!

Check Para 3.2 and 3.3 in the user Manual,

That may be the settings you envision, where the AC charge function is Disabled.

"3.3 AC Charge function Disable: The system will not use AC to charge the battery(except Li ion BMS set
force charge flag )
According to Time: During the setting time, system will use AC to charge the battery until battery full and
battery will not discharge during the setting time.
According to Battery Voltage: During the setting time, system will use AC to charge the battery if battery
voltage is lower than AC Charge Start Battery Voltage and will stop when Voltage is higher than AC Charge
End Battery Voltage. And battery will not discharge during the setting time.
According to Battery SOC: During the setting time, system will use AC to charge the battery if battery SOC
is lower than AC Charge Start Battery SOC and will stop when Voltage is higher than AC Charge End Battery
SOC. And battery will not discharge during the setting time."

My SNA5000 is set to discharge battery to 50%. Grid then powers the household until the sun comes up. The PV will then charge battery to 100%  & supply house with power. If during the night when battery at 50%, loadshedding kicks in, the battery will discharge until grid is back, the grid will then recharge the battery to 50% until sun can supply power.

Incidently, I had my Lux Power/SVolt batteries installed about 2 months ago. Happy "as a pig in swill". Should have done this earlier. This is working smoothly without a hitch....touch wood.

So we have no power for a week or so and I only use my solar and battery at night. I have a 5kw and my discharge is set to 20% on backup power but it turns off at 42% for a few days and then it tries to reconnect and keeps blinking the lights. Not sure what the issue is.
