Kodak OG 5.48 weirdness

I am wondering whether any else noticed something similar or my have an explanation. I recently bought a used OG 5.48 to use in parallel to my existing inverter. I ran out of space where my existing installation is (was) and started a "new" installation alone the long side of the garage. First step after plastering nicely and painting was to mount the unused inverter, trunking etc., etc. Today I had an electrician remove AC in and out from my original inverter and connect the new (used) inverter and much to my surprise, the consumption in the house and the rate of discharge from the battery nearly tripled!

Attached graphs for the past 3 hours or so and another for yesterday and a before and after for the dayCapture003.JPG.f32734b25d60d3a78a610d0bc73013ee.JPGCapture001.thumb.JPG.e80e70a25c26ea19b66103bcc4eb0514.JPGCapture002.thumb.JPG.b2eac7bfc0f27206858396861a6418a2.JPG

Well, as it turns out this Kodak which was apparently "working until the day I upgraded" was sold to me by one of the member of this forum and it's busted! Was running okay during the day and as soon as my wife switched on one induction plate, which usually pushes the load to about 1.4k for short spells as it turns on and off the inverter tripped.

Well, at least I know the charge controller works. I have tested that before. Hopefully when I add more panels to it as I plan to, it does not trip too and it can just help charge the batteries.

Regards,

Heine
