  1. Good evening All I trust that you are all well. I have 3 of the 7.2Kw Kodak inverters in parallel on a single phase supply and I would like to know if the timers for the Output Source Priority and Charger Source Priority must be set on all 3 the inverters or only the Master inverter? Kind Regards GerhardK83

  2. Good day guys, I am posting this in hopes that someone might have insight as to what an issue might be. I have a Kodak OG 10 with The main CPU firmware version is 82.05, and the secondary CPU version is 35.03. I was experiencing a power cycling issue where in the mornings my inverter would turn on and off the AC power output, which was really frustrating for me. In a more detailed list: My Inverter is set at a cutoff of 10% SOC (This doesn't seem to change) My inverter would turn off around 12 at night, this is because my panels were shaded and so the power generation wasn't so good. My house is completely off grid. In the mornings as the sun came up in the morning t…

  4. Hi What are the latest firmware levels for Kodak 5.48 OG Plus? I need to get 2x units to the same firmware levels so that they can be connected in parallel.

  5. Hi, my system consists of the above Kodak inverter and 2 X Pylontech US2000 batteries. It is several years old and has run without any issues for a long time (except that now and then the inverter seems to lose its settings). We have just had a power failure, however, and I encountered an F03 problem. I have tried resetting everything several times by turning off the batteries, but to no avail. As the municipal power supply is down, after a few restarts, it has reached the stage where the inverter stays on for a minute or so and then powers off on its own. The batteries are both measuring 50.2 V on their output terminals. The Kodak inverter manual says "Return to re…

  6. Can someone please provide me with link to stable current OS for Kodak king 7.2 My OS has low charge rate and I need to update it to get bit better throughput

  7. Started by Tiaan Vermeulen,

Good morning My parents are running 2x 8kva Kodak inverters. However, the one inverter keeps on giving a PV Overload error and then shuts off the inverter. Can anyone please recommend what could be causing this issue and how we would go about fixing it? Thank you.

  8. On a Kodak OG7.2, what is the difference between Appliance and UPS output? Thank you

  9. Hi there I have a client running two Kodak OG7.2 inverters in parallel with four Kodak FL5.2 batteries. System is completely off-grid so no utility connected. System has been running without issues for the past two years. An issue has recently started where a brownout occurs (power to load briefly drops out) when batteries reach 100%. Anyone got any ideas what can cause this?

  10. Good day is there a way to program the inverter via a PC, or is the only way via the display on the unit?

Hi everyone, hopefully someone can give guidance as to the best way to resolve this new issue that arose: System installed in March 2021, Wiring completed by Qualified electrician, been running smoothly ever since until this weekend. KODAK OG5.48 2x Pylontech US3000C 8x Canadian Solar 435Wp panels Surge protection on Panels DB and all necessary change-over/isolation switches present. First point, we were not at the house with the first two failures, nothing switched on by us at any time of the Fault occuring. SAT 17 FEB 12:30 - No strange usage spikes, but it is the exact time that the pool pump needs to stop and switch off. Nothing else scheduled t…

Hello everyone. I have never been able to connect to the watchpower app, I haven't been able to see my inverter on bluetooth available devices. Is there something I am supposed to do first before trying to connect the app? The system was installed by a qualified tech, and everything runs the way it's supposed to except I can't monitor remotely. Thanks in advance.

Unless I'm missing something, my inverter seems to be giving incorrect pv info. At the time of the photo the following reading were given: Amps 33 Volts 93 So it should be recording 3000watts? But it only says 1811watts. This in turn throws out all my solar assistant reading... Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

  14. Good morning I have a question about how this inverter charges the battery. There are 3 x SHOTO 5100Wh batteries in parallel, monitored by Solar Assistant There are a total of 8 PV panels shared between PV-1 and PV-2. The daily solar input averages between 4kW on a cloudy day to 9kW on sunny days (see chart below) Programming location 01 is set to Sub (Solar first) Location 02 is 80A (maximum charging) Location 11 is 40A (utility charging) Location 16 is Snu (Solar + utility charging) I notice that today, which is 90% cloud with (at the moment) 390 watts solar input, 190 watt load, 155 watt grid, the total battery charging is 220 watts If the cloud becomes close to 100%…

Morning I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Recently we added some more capacity to my parents solar system. however, I realised that we made a mistake going with Kodak instead of Deye/Sunsynk just for ease of use and setting up for non electrical peeps. below I compiled a list of what I can find, was told and read up on with regards to the settings on our inverters. I hope someone can assist with improving them to make the system more efficient. System info: Kodak OG 7.2 Master Slave Serial ########## …

Hi All, solar beginner here. I have noticed some strange behavior on my inverter. Firstly even though I have efficient solar power, it keeps on using eskom to supplement the load. If I switch the main switch off feeding the inverter, only then will it start using 100% solar power. Second issue is my batteries never drain below 65%, how do I change this? Setup as follow: Kodak OG10 Inverter 3 x Pylontech US5000 Batteries 12 x 545w JA Solar Panels

Morning all, please assist. I have an og5.48 plus invertor. Running on 8 550w pannels and charging 4 off mecer M48100 baterries I want to install an xstra og5.48 plus invertor only to use as a charging unit Reason for this is that i want to add xstra 8 pannels I dont need xstra output I know the the charging output from the invertor just gets connected on the batteries where the master invertor is connected. My consern is how does the idling invertor know when the bateries are full. No space to connect a com cable from new invertor to batteries

  18. Hey everyone, I’m new here and hoping someone can help me out. A couple of years ago, I had a Kodak OGS 5.6 inverter installed along with a no-name lithium battery. At the time, I trusted my installer when he said I wouldn’t need the boxes, cables, or anything extra—so he took them all with him. Fast forward two years, and my battery is pretty much dead. Turns out, there was no BMS communication cable, and I can’t even find one now. I’m not even sure if my battery was ever truly compatible with my inverter. To make things worse, my installer has disappeared off the face of the earth. So now I’m trying to figure things out myself. I’m considering getting a Pylontech batter…

Hi everyone, I hope somebody will be able to give me some guidance on my trolley inverter. Brief background: Mid 2024 I built my own 3wk trolley inverter. The inverter consists of a 3kw 24V Kodak Inverter that I purchased from Power Forum, and +- 2.5kwh 24V Sunmagic Battery. I assembled/connected the system on my own (Google/Youtube and Electrician assistance) the trolley has got its own DB, where I can isolate the incoming AC from a 220 plug and outgoing AC from the inverter. Got the system connected and worked for a solid 6 months. No solar, used Eskom to charge the battery. I only used the system to keep our families remote working run smoothly, it working pe…

I have two Kodak OG-7.2 inverters (each with their own, dissimilar, pv string), in 1-ph parallel configuration with a shared Pylontech battery bank. The inverter with the battery link Comms cable will not operate as the slave SL (very quickly goes to fault mode), but even when started as master HS, fails to fault mode every few hours. What I see is that the output load is generally not balanced, with the SL supplying most of the load. Every now and then, the Bus voltage on the HS, after operating at the same level as the SL, suddenly climbs (up to 30% higher), and the inverter switches to Fault mode - F60 Power feedback protection All cabling and co…

  22. Good day I have a Kodak OG-7.2 with a Akkutech 5kWh battery and 6x 550W CS panels that is about to be switched on. I did the installation myself, but I'm not going to throw the switch without the supplier as wingman. I was impressed that Kodak offered WiFi connectivity out of the box, but now that I want to install the app (WatchPower), I see the app ratings, and they're a disaster. Almost nobody has anything positive to say about it, and crucially, it sucks at keeping statistics. My system should be 100% self-sufficient, but living with solar is a learning curve, and without stats, the curve is so much steeper. So, my question: Is there any third-party int…

  23. Started by Pieter v D,

I'm busy with a parallel installation with two of these - so far just connected to the batteries via a bus bar. Communiaction and current sharing cables not installed yet and PAL setting not activated. Voltage reading at terminals for both inverters are 52.6 V via a multimeter, but one inverter reads 53.0 V and the other 52.1 V. I'm suspecting that this will cause an issue once I activate the parallel settings. Anyone have guidance for calibrating these inverters - the manual seems to refer to such a possibilty. Much appreciated in advance!

What is the best firmware for Kodak King 7.2 to insure it pulls full power from the panels Mine seems to be getting allot less than the panels rated output and I heard that on some of the OS versions it was getting allot less power out than correct OS I have 16x410w panels on 2 strings But in general maxing at about 4kW Serial 92932108602457 I am currently on 90.28
