July 30, 20251 yr UPS mode has a shorter transfer time from mains loss to inverter power, used for sensitive electronic equipment.
August 2, 20251 yr UPS AC input range also has tighter voltage requirements to use the AC input, typically rejecting the AC input if under some 170 VAC. Appliance mode will hang on to lower utility voltages.
