The prices seem reasonable, not ridiculously low. If you can collect and pay, I would say its legit. I wouldn't put money in their account. Maybe someone in the area should visit them.

UPS mode has a shorter transfer time from mains loss to inverter power, used for sensitive electronic equipment.

I have a working 10kVA GP810 PSS Transformer based UPS but its in Cape Town.

Does anyone know what happened to the LuxPower App on Google PlayStore. It seems to have disappeared. A client lost his phone and is trying to re-install the App, but its gone!

A client without solar just endured a 36 hour blackout due to cable theft in Claremont Cape Town. He only lasted 20 hours until the domestic turned on the washing machine. I heard an interesting story that the saboteurs (power station managers) had all been fired, which is why there is no load shedding. To me it makes the most sense.

Today I had two clients experiencing the same issue. One with a Sunsynk 5kW inverter and the other with an RCT 5.6kW and a Synapse 5kW inverter. The first client has 4 Hubble X101 with no comms with the Sunsynk. The other has 2 Hubble AM2 on each inverter also with no comms. With the RCT I powered everything off, then powered back up again, and the batteries went from 2 lights to 5 in about an hour, charging at 10amps per battery. The other client is trying the same with his Sunsynk. Did 3 months of no load shedding damage the batteries I wonder?

I had a Kodak OG5.48 pop on me as soon as I connected it up. 4 months later SegenSolar finally repaired it under warranty. Never bought another Kodak.

I'm in Cape Town and get around R9 per kg scrap value. That was a few months ago though. Generally I find that if one battery is gone the rest soon follow and I don"t have the time to test them.

If they are in parallel it would be better to only use one charger. Can you send a pic of the battery and the charger specs?

You would also have to add the current being used by the load to get the total AC current. Otherwise the calculations are correct.

I concur. Had two Pylontech US2000 which I took to Segen for firmware update, and the logs also showed overvoltage at the beginning. A flimsy reason to repudiate a warranty claim, in my opinion.

The MPPT could have blown due to overvoltage. Check how many panels you have and multiply that by the open circuit voltage of the panels. It can't be over 385V. I've had a Luxpower MPPT trip out on overvoltage, but it only happened once before I rectified the situation. Constant overvoltage/overcurrent could become a problem.

I've already carried a warranty claim where a Kodak inverter had a display problem. Removed it, took it to supplier then re-installed afterward. No charge to customer. Tried unsuccessfully to charge supplier. Swings and roundabouts. Thankfully a rare occurrence.

I agree Eskom and every other parastatal has been run into the ground, and the malevolence is there for all to see. Predatory capitalism at its most obvious. My opinion is that through various means Eskom has been sabotaged, but could if it wanted to, keep the lights on 24/7 This is a psychological and economic attack on the people of South Africa, and should thus be investigated and treated as high treason. They are trying to wear us down, just like the ridiculous lockdowns, mask wearing, social distancing and a raft of other stupidities that most people should be cringing in shame for accepting. Switch it off and try bridging Neutral and Earth on the output of the inverter. Let me know if it fixes the problem.
