Hi All, The solar assistant has shown me alot more details:- I found out that the solar cut out when the batteries are at 97%, and reconnects, charges the battery and cuts out again, and its a up down situation. I'm worried that this will reduce the life span of the batteries. Need to get the Solar to constantly stay on once the batteries are fully charged Setup:- 5kw inverter + 4x3.5KW pylontech + 6x660w solar panels Inverter settings:- Battery cut-off voltage: 46.0v, Back to grid voltage: 48.0v, Back to discharge voltage: 49.0v Connected Inverter to Solar Assistant via Micro USB Cable Connected Battery to Inverter via BMS cable

Hi There, I recently added solar assistant to my setup and it has raised some concerns, can I please get some help for the settings. The inverter switches of the solar when the batteries are at 97% state of charge and switches back to solar when dropped by 1%. How can I get the batteries to charge 100% and then have solar run the load until solar is unable to manage the load? The inverter keeps updating the settings to 140A, If i understand correctly, the batteries should never be charged higher than 20A per battery, so no more than 80A. Am I correct or what is the correct A for 4x US3000C 3.5KW Pylontech Batteries or is 140A safe for the longevity of…

Good day Can someone please assist with the correct pinout for this cable? The instructions from Segen for connecting to BMS attached, but no instructions for the cable itself. Thanks in advance! da4dfbe7c250f22fe4a5a7bd261bedd8fc0af097ba3bb8896be1986c6516319f_optim.pdf

Any advise or assistance will be appreciated. Kodak 7.2 connected via RS232 to S port of Hubble Cloudlink. Cloudlink connected to 2 x Hubble AM2's via CAN. Because of this connection, I am not utilising the Hubble BMS. If I connect the S port from the Cloudlink to the Hubble, I activate the BMS. Is there a converter / switch / cable that can convert the Kodak RS485 or RS232 port to communicate with the Cloudlink CAN or Modbus port? This will allow continued remote functionality to the Kodak but with BMS activated. Thank you.

Hey guys anyone else had this problem or suggestions on resolution... Seems to happen when the sun is showing off. Has happened twice now and I think it has to do with under recording of pv input and therefore incorrect disturbing, bus voltage has peaked at just over 400vdc.

Hello all, I have a Kodak 7.2OG inverter, and downloaded the logs onto a USB drive. However, the logs only seem to show the PV input for a single string. Am I missing something to be able to see both strings? Below is a picture of the CSV - the only difference between this and the original output is I removed the SN and added a header column:

Hi all, anyone experiencing the Kodak OG3.24 being noisy when grid power is connected? I am not talking about the fans, but I hear a constant buzz from the inverter, almost like being in the bush late afternoon 😀

Hi all. I have a Kodak VMIII 3kw inverter. As the loads are powered by PV, it constantly fluctuates and uses the grid or battery to stabilize the power. Linked is a video where it constantly charges and discharges the battery to stabilize load. The load was a constant 1,1kw and did not fluctuate during this video. Is this normal for these inverters? TIA

Hi All/Coulomb I am experiencing a niggling issue with a Kodak OG5.48. All was running fine after install with Pylontech UP5000 battery. Then last week I addedsome 545 Canadian solar panels in series, 8 to be exact. I then switch output priority to SBU. Soon as it starts up the Inverter trips earthleakage and restarts and give F08 error. If running it from utility and solar it runs fine, if running it from utility and battery it runs fine. It seems when adding solar it start with issues. there is surge protection on the solar and I measured the incoming voltage is 403 Volts. According to manual specs it should be able to run up to 450 Volts. I also set the charg…

Good day I have a Kodak OG5.48 off-grid inverter. I have been running it with a Hubble AM2 (5kW) lithium battery, as a power backup system. I finally had 4 x 500W Art Solar panels connected last week and have been trying to run with A Solar / Battery / Utility priority order. I noted that the inverter does not regularly accept the solar power coming in and the MPPT controller icon just flashes on the LCD display. I cannot find this scenario in the manual and therefore am not sure how to troubleshoot.

Good evening All I trust that you are all well. Yesterday late afternoon, early evening I commissioned the following system: 3 X Kodak Max 7.2Kw units in parallel and 4 X Greenrich 3.686KWh batteries in parallel which are communicating with the Kodak master inverter via the Pylon cable which came with the inverters. The firmware version of all 3 inverters are U1: 69.05, U2: 12.21, U3 0.0 This afternoon I noticed that when the inverters are changing over from utility power to battery power that the output is off just long enough so that one of my computers is turning off and back on, now will there be a difference in transfer time if I use UPS instead of A…

I have a Kodak OG 7.2kW inverter and got the WatchPower app to work eventually. Had to use an old phone because the new one's Android software is apparently too new, weird. Anyway, my inverter has 2 PV inputs and the solar panels are currently connected to PV2 but the app does not seem to pick this up. It is showing that the batteries are charging but does not show that the solar panels are connected. The whole reason I got the app was to see how much kW (and kWh) I was generating and using but I can only see my usage at the moment. The app does show the Eskom connection but my inverter is set to OSO (charge batteries from solar only) so it's kind of irrelevant. Does…

Trying to get coms working between the Axpert King (Kodak version) and a 3.6kwh Greenrich battery installed off-grid in a cabin. Have the right cable and the hexagon flashes suggesting coms is working. Watchpower app reflects the BMS data as read by the inverter if I set it to Pylon or Lithium B, but the issue is that if I set it to Pylontech, the charge voltage is preset (? in the firmware) to 57v. If I set it to User settings, the SoC calculation is way off and very confusing. We had an issue that when the battery is fully charged or close to fully charged after a few hours of sun, the inverter fans spin up and down every few seconds trying to charge then stopping,…

My new OG5.48 seems to work fine, but it makes a hissing noise - not the fans, that's well known - think of letting letting the air out of your car tires. About half the sound level as the fan(at low speed). Is this normal? I've only heard it while being grid connected i.e. in battery mode it's quiet. I've not been able to definitively tie it to active charging, or floating etc. The whitenoise as a nuisance I can live with. But my experience with other electronics is that switchmode noises can indicate problems with a converter, such as a dead capacitor or inductor/transformer that hasn't been potted well or missing EMC filters. System details: OG5.48 with …
