BMS cable pinout for OG7.2 to BL3.6 battery

Featured Replies

Anyone have the correct pinout for this application? Have tried all the combos I could find on the forum, still getting error 61.

Might be a firmware issue, anyone have the latest firmware for this unit? This is the firmware I have at the moment:

Thanks in advance!

BMS issues pertain to the display firmware. I believe that this one (despite the lack of leading 1) is the latest and should work for you. I'm assuming that your model has the removable display.

Managed to flash display firmware this morning, BMS all working as it should now. My computer has a serial port so I could connect to the RJ45 on display directly with the Kodak RJ45-to-serial cable without using the serial-to-USB adaptor.

Cant say thanks enough @Coulomb

Before this I contacted @SEGEN SOLAR via email but they were unwilling to help me with firmware as I was not the original owner of the inverter.  Which makes no sense unfortunately, that's like taking your used BMW to the dealer and them being unwilling to support.

Pinout for OG7.2 to BL3.6 BMS cable is the same as for OG5.48 to BL3.6. Battery type set to PYL and pinout as follows:

Inverter 5 to battery 7.

Inverter 3 to battery 8.

Cable can be made up by cutting and splicing, you dont need a crimping tool.
