September 23, 20232 yr Hi All, The solar assistant has shown me alot more details:- I found out that the solar cut out when the batteries are at 97%, and reconnects, charges the battery and cuts out again, and its a up down situation. I'm worried that this will reduce the life span of the batteries. Need to get the Solar to constantly stay on once the batteries are fully charged Setup:- 5kw inverter + 4x3.5KW pylontech + 6x660w solar panels Inverter settings:- Battery cut-off voltage: 46.0v, Back to grid voltage: 48.0v, Back to discharge voltage: 49.0v Connected Inverter to Solar Assistant via Micro USB Cable Connected Battery to Inverter via BMS cable
September 23, 20232 yr Author I have the KODAK King Model: OG-Plus 5.48. Its a Axpert re-branding as i understand I have the BMS cable connected and the inverter disconnects the solar. However when i update the settings from Pylontech BMS to User the state of charge drops from 97% to 57% but the solar handles the load which is good for the day time. Hope i can get some settings update to keep the solar as first preference for load then battery then eskom Edited September 23, 20232 yr by WezHo
September 24, 20232 yr > However when i update the settings from Pylontech BMS to User the state of charge drops from 97% to 57% but the solar handles the load which is good for the day time. I have been wondering the same about my KODAK 7.2OG with Revov R100s. The inverter constantly shows the battery levels as between 20%-80% (when batteries are empty, the inverter thinks they are at 20%, and when the batteries are full, the inverter thinks they are at 80%). I suspect this is because of the suggested (by Revov) settings: https://revov.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Kodak-REVOV-Manual-V1.pdf (page 21+) **The Just** - 12: 49V - 13: 55V - 26: 55.5V - 27: 54.5V - 29: 48V I hope this settings help some, but your battery supplier might have different recommended settings.
September 28, 20232 yr Author I purchased Solar Assistant and through that interface I managed to find the right settings. After much playing around on Solar Assistant, I managed to resolve the issue. Solar Assistant which was such a huge help in correcting my issue. Basically i changed the following:- Battery from Inverter settings to Emulated BMS I had both the Micro USB from inverter to Solar Assistant and Voltronic RS232 from inverter to Solar Assistant. I removed the RS232. Current Connection:- Pylontech Cable from Master Battery to Inverter Micro USB from inverter to Solar Assistant Changes Experienced:- Battery now shows 100% charge and not 97% at full Solar remains on to manage the load after battery has fully charged No more fault 69 or error 61 with current set up show below Battery charges from the grid at 20%, and not at a voltage spike Max current max charge current of 50A from solar, 10A from grid Some screen grabs of my setting for Solar Assistant if needed, hope this helps others with similar issues
