I'm busy with a parallel installation with two of these - so far just connected to the batteries via a bus bar. Communiaction and current sharing cables not installed yet and PAL setting not activated. Voltage reading at terminals for both inverters are 52.6 V via a multimeter, but one inverter reads 53.0 V and the other 52.1 V. I'm suspecting that this will cause an issue once I activate the parallel settings. Anyone have guidance for calibrating these inverters - the manual seems to refer to such a possibilty. Much appreciated in advance!

Can the KODAK OG-PLUS 5.48 inverter feed extra solar power back into the utility network?

What is the best firmware for Kodak King 7.2 to insure it pulls full power from the panels Mine seems to be getting allot less than the panels rated output and I heard that on some of the OS versions it was getting allot less power out than correct OS I have 16x410w panels on 2 strings But in general maxing at about 4kW Serial 92932108602457 I am currently on 90.28

  4. Had this inverter for 3 years. There are 3 Shoto 5.1kWH batteries and a total of 8 PV panels. 6 are connected to PV-1 and 2 to PV-2 Some peculiar (to me) anomalies are: 01 - Sbu - no problem there 16 - CSO. The program states that this option will first use solar to charge the battery, and in the absence, will use utility. I would expect this to occur at night, but it does not. The batteries just discharge There are status lights next to the display 1 is never on (load supplied by utility) 2 is on when the sun is shining (load supplied by PV) 3 comes on now and then (load supplied by battery) 4 (AC on). This always flashes …

So i wrote to China Shoto and they gave me some kodak settings to use in conjunction with the Shoto batteries. I changed it earlier this evening but now I get an alarm, even though the inverters are still working 100%. Does anyone know what the below means, and 2ndly how to remove, reset the alarm? Or does it reset by itself?

I already have two, need a third one of OG5.48+ model with low voltage MPPT. Ideally new, Geewiz and other providers have indicated that it's not available anymore.

  7. Installed new inverter and left all factory settings in place except: 1. Output Source Priority to: SBU (Programming Option 01) 2. Utiliy Charge Maximim Current: 10A When AC Input Source for Utility switches ON or OFF, and it causes the inverter to change from Battery to Utility or vice versa during load shedding that initialises or manually switching it on and off on AC Input, the AC Output switches off temporarily. I don't notice any fault conditions on the screen. Is there a way to know if the inverter is in fact faulty and need to be returned?

Good day. I bought a used Kodak inverter. Is there any way how I can switch it on and see the settings. It is not connected to solar or a batt. I tried 220v on the inverter input but nothing. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I've seen various other topics on the matter but they seem to be rather oldish so I'm looking for up to date info. I have the above inverter along with 2x Shoto SDC 10 Box 5 batteries. Currently I am using Solar Assistant to read the battery values as the inverter seems to be incapable, at least that's what I'm seeing. Does any of the newer firmwares support this battery's BMS? I am unsure if the screen on the kodak shows other info which is needed, but I have attached a screenshot of the inverter's data on SA. Looking forward to some more information regarding this.

  10. What is going wrong? It seems, whenever I update the U1 (main CPU) firmware, the control board bricks. Full story: 1. Bought 2nd inverter with U1 45.13, U2 12.21 2. Tried RS-232 - USB reflash to 69.07 (to match 1st inverter), all seems to go well 3. Warning 32 appears on display 4. No amount of re-trying, specific timing, USB OTG, or USB->USB yields anything useful. Same warning 32, and am unable to even reflash 45.13 on. 5. Send unit to Segen, they replace the control board, and stick some random (wrong) firmware on 56.07! 6. 56.07 has many missing settings, incorrect charge settings (max battery charge current is …

Good day Does anyone have any experience or have installed a KODAK BL5 battery? Are they any good or should I just go with Pylontech UP5000. I'm busy planning my setup for my new house which will most likely consist of a KODAK OG-Plus 6.2kw inverter......I like the Voltronic type of inverters; Had no issues for the last 6 years with my MMPSolar at my current house......

  12. I bought my Kodak Inverter OGS5.6 and Kodak Batter FL5.2 and installation was done in July 2022. When the inverter arrived, it stated that it requires a firmware update to be done of which my technician did know how to do and I've never updated the firmware. I called Segen Solar a few times requesting assistance with a technician to help me with the firmware update but all they did was take my number and state that they will share the information to technicians. Is there anyone who can assist me with updating my the firmware update of my OGS5.6?

  13. Hello everyone...I'm really in need of advice. Received the relevant MCU & CPU firmware from the installer and attempted to update myself using the USB to RS232 method, which seems relatively simple. Isolated Grid input / Isolated Load output and switched off battery, connected USB to RS232 cable to Inverter - opened the reflash tool - selected the update file. See image attached. LCD Panel went blank after this and inverter completely dead - no screen, no lights - nothing. The firmware versions shared were as below MCU (02.83) CPU V41.17

I am wondering whether any else noticed something similar or my have an explanation. I recently bought a used OG 5.48 to use in parallel to my existing inverter. I ran out of space where my existing installation is (was) and started a "new" installation alone the long side of the garage. First step after plastering nicely and painting was to mount the unused inverter, trunking etc., etc. Today I had an electrician remove AC in and out from my original inverter and connect the new (used) inverter and much to my surprise, the consumption in the house and the rate of discharge from the battery nearly tripled! Attached graphs for the past 3 hours or so and another…

Very strange behavior on an OG10/FL 5.2 system. Two FL 5.2 are connected in parallel to a single OG 10. When battery type is set to Kodak the reported consumption overnight with minimal load is three or four times higher than expected via Watchpower. When set to User and battery parameters entered the overnight consumption on Watchpower shows 90% which is more or less expected but the battery level lights show 40%-60%. Is there later firmware that allows FL 5.2 selection in the battery menu maybe? Is anyone running an OG 10 and FL 5.2 batteries sucessfully?

Is it possible to program a Kodak inverter in order to shut down the system when the lithium battery reaches 20%?

  17. Hi Hoping someone can point me in the right direction... After a particularly hectic thunderstorm, I lost comms with the inverter... The display had the 32 fault msg, and I also discovered the rs232 converter in the cable connecting to my ESP32 was fried. So ATM I have no way of knowing what's going on in my system, other than the battery indicator on the batteries themselves. Does this type of fault usually require the inverter to be sent in for service, or is there a comms module I can remove that might be repaired? Thanks in advance. Ian PS. Just realised that the battery-inverter comms is also probably down. Seeing wierd char…

  18. Random combination, I know. Trying to help friends get the BMS between these two running, not sure if even possible. Everything worked fine without BMS until a multi-day power failure recently, now inverter does not want to charge battery anymore. Have searched webs without luck for the correct cable pinout, would apprecate help if someone knows.

Kodak OG7.2 and 2 x Fl5.2 batteries I purchased a Kodak OG 7.2 in June 2021. I was so pleased with the product I purchased two Kodak Fl5.2 liFeO in July 2023 from the Power Store and installed 1.8 kw of solar panels as well This combination has worked acceptably since then Recently the 2 x Fl5.2 batteries ran flat and now the OG 7.2 will not attempt to charge them. I checked the 2 batteries independently of each other and the inverter. Their charge is identical at about 10% and both voltages are the same (53.3 v) It appears to me as if the Pylon setting tell the inverter not to charge or discharge The only LEDs on the batteries is the fa…

Hi all Have been running a Kodak OG Plus 5.48 for an year odd with 2 x Kodak FL5.2 batteries Recently added two more of the same batteries. I now see BAT no 4 (only) display error "High Voltage Fault" from time to time [LED no 2 flashes with RED LED on] it will be on for a few minutes (+/- 5min), then off for a longer period (+/- 15min) - I have spent a week trying to call Segen support, could not manage to speak to anyone, ask for VM then cuts off, no action from the VM left Any insight / suggestions pls
