  2. Thank you very much. I will be ordering the things that I couldn't find at Herholdts from KD Solar.
  3. Thank you very much. I'm now definitely going for aluminum.
  4. Are aluminum rails better than galvanised and which reputable service providers can I use for buying? I have 16 panels that need to be installed and I stay in Johannesburg.
  5. I'm so grateful for all that you share with us on this platform. I have found a lot of value from your insights.
  6. Please share contacts of the Luxpower installer in Pretoria and Johannesburg, if any.
  7. Thank you very much. I will certainly do. I need to protect this investment as much as possible.
  8. Thank you very much. I will try to put a list of the things to validate because the last thing is to invest in a costly system only to have warranty invalidated because of installer qualifications.
  9. I'm ready to install solar panels and I will either go with my current Luxpower SNA5000 inverter and Hubble AM-2 battery or decide to go with the Sunsynk once I'm satisfied that it is worth the money. The warranty requirement for Sunsynk states that there must be Proof of Qualified Wireman or Electrician installing the unit. How do you guys ensure that your electrician is qualified (what do you ask for) and how do you go about searching for them. I stay in Florida Glen and my internet requests have not been replied by the big companies.
  10. @JayMardern It is now clear that LuxPower and Hubble are really serious players in the market. I now have a lot more confidence and knowledge.. Thank you very much for your input.
  11. @Peter V Thank you very much. Sunsynk does come at a bigger price hence my careful consideration before selling what could work very well without the additional expense while I still have furniture and other things to worry about
  12. @JayMardern Thank you very much for your valuable input.
  13. @Scorp007 I will share with all of you my final decision and plan. Like I have said, your inputs are very valuable to me.
  14. @FixAMess This is why I appreciate this forum so much. I'm always cautious when resellers lean towards one brand and can't give you options. The information users have shared here is what I will use to ensure that I get different options presented to me before making my decision.
  15. @Scorp007 Thank you very much. This forum is really a blessing and I'm thankful for your contribution.
  16. @jlr This is very encouraging to hear and is in line with @Scorp007 initial advise. The house seller said he doesn't know which model the Luxpower or Hubble is. The conveyancer stated that the house should be finally transferred today and then I can get the previous installer who assisted me with the Kodak installation to come and evaluate then let you know the exact specs of the equipment. The most important thing is that your comments have helped me understand the possibilities. The installer has high regard for Sunsynk, which is what he mostly installs for his clients, and he recommends it but I have informed him that I want to evaluate all options. After all, moving into a house from a complex will require new furniture and other things but I am excited of the opportunity of solar installations.
