OrangePi 3 LTS (opi3lts) R800 with no SD card R1200 with 8gb SD card

My 24V 200ah batteries came with what I can measure are 5mm core battery cables, I was not happy so used 8mm core battery cables. My question is why do they supply such thin core battery cables, surely it can be a fire hazard, I have attached a photo for size comparison

The proportional SSR (also called phase angle controller) is something that not many are familiar with. This unit can control the current to a resistive load by varying the input. The input can be either 0-10VDC, 0-5VDC or 4-20mA. This is a wonderful device since it can switch on at any time during the sine wave. See the picture of the wave forms. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Deye 8kW hybrid inverter (2025 model) and I have a question regarding the cable sizing used during the installation. The Issue: The Deye manual specifies that a 10mm² twin and earth wire is required, paired with 50A breakers. However, ive heard a few electricians say that 6mm² twin and earth (Nominal amp rating 51A) will work fine. Planned Installation method: Cable Length: +/- 20m each way (Input and Output). Mounting: Running in the roof inside, each in their separate 20mm conduits, clamped to the roof beams. Breakers: 40A breakers at the combiner box, and 50A breakers in the main DB. I have a single phase Eskom power supply with a 60A main switch. What is the minimum wire size inside the DB board from the main switch to the RCD's and bus bar's? I thought it should be at least 16mm2 but the neutral bus bar holes are only big enough for a 10mm2 cable.

Hey Guys, First time I'm posting, but thought I would share since I haven't seen any post regarding the pin of the RS232 port on the Ecco HIN3500. A while back I contacted ECCO and requested the pin out or a compatible wifi dongle and they made up a cable for me that works with the SmartESS and Dessmonitor PC interface. It's pins are different as far as I know from the standard 5500 which you can get the dongle for, and for the newer 60A version. I recently purchased a DEYE Inverter from an auction house. The inverter did not come with the mounting bracket. i know the DEYE & SUNSYNK have the same chassis so either would do. Hey all, So I noticed recently that my CBI SPD only has 1 of the lights lit - the other is no longer lit like when it first was installed. I am no sparky, so not sure whether the light itself just died (does this even happen) and the SPD is fine or whether I should look at replacing the SPD with a new one? Just a plain DB board fed from Eskom only.

Good morning all and best for 2026! As the title alludes to, how do you switch the geyser off when battery volts drops? Yes, there are expensive Home Assistant, Geyserwise and such solutions, but there surely are cheaper and simpler ways? How about an analogue adjustable DC Volt sensing switch that energizes a relay? I cannot find such a gizmo, although such should find a ready market. Surely some electronic tinkerers have built it already? Thought I would find it at instructables.com but not. Any other websites I can look? Thanks for your attention in this matter... ;-)

Sorry if this has been asked before - do these usually come with cables included, or do you have to buy them separately? I've seen some kits being sold by online shops. Bought a 2nd battery for my parents from Voltex, but no cables are included, so I just want to double check.

I wanted to run 2xwith mega fuse setup to batteries and then fuse disconnect to the inverters but after seeing the price on the 58v vs 32v it might not even be worth it 1x vs 5 for R200

The voltage at my home is too high and cannot be lowered; it is around 130/260V and sometimes even higher. I came up with the idea to install an auto-transformer at the entrance of my house to step down the AC voltage by adding two 25-turn, 5.3 mm² (AWG 10) laminated copper windings on both sides of the coil. My interest here is sparked by two things. 1) I recently had a timer installed. The electrician asks me if I want to have one that can be operated via WI-FI. I have just been asked a question which I was sure I knew the answer to, but you never know :-) .... one is always open to learning :-) I have a north facing roof, with no trees or obstructions creating shade, on which I have 3 strings - 2 of the strings consists of 8 x 375w panels (total of 16 x 375w panels) and a 3rd string of 8 x 545w panels. The roof area does not allow for all the panels to be installed in Portrait which means that 2 panels in the 3rd string had to be installed Landscape orientation - see picture provided. Have a geyser timer that when power drops from load shedding is not holding what it is set at, after each time we get load shedding i need to manually turn it back on else cold water. A friend has a factory where the incoming municipality cables are regularly cut and stolen. When the municipality reconnects very often the phase rotation is incorrect. The genset and solar system are setup to sync and share with the Mains. The idea is to have an incoming DB board with the phase correction contactors and rotation sensing relays. Is it safe to have a pair of incoming contactors designated 1 & 2 with a pair of phase rotation and voltage sensing relays designated A & B. Hi, I must be blind, but where do I download the config / setup software for the ET112 energy meter? Victron says its free on the Carlo Gavazzi web site but really I can’t find it. By now I’m not even sure which web site IS the official Carlo Gavazzi site. Good day, I purchased 6x Jinko Solar Panel Tiger JKM585N-72HL4-BDV Bifacial panels that I want to fit in landscape on a pitched tile roof. What are recommended options to mount them? I'm looking at KD solar, but they seem quite pricy compared to others. Is it worth paying the extra price? They also have the adjustable roof hook, which seems like it might make the installation easier? Attached is my shopping list from Livestainable. Is this sufficient?
