DaVoodoo
Good day. As per the title, I have a Growatt SPF 3000TL HVM-24 - inverter with LIFEPO batteries and 3 solar panels. Is there a setting that will make it use power from the panels first and if there is no sun use the utility power? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Cheerz DaVoodoo Setting I you use SOL or SBU. These settings will use solar 1st and if not enough SBU will use battery. Ensure that setting 14 is also set correctly to limit grid charging during the day. Use a high setting for battery to prevent deep discharge before it goes over to grid use when no solar. Cheerz DaVoodoo In that case you must set it to SUB. solar first, if not enough solar will blend whatever bit of solar with grid, if no solar at all will use grid. I see that the manual states that there is Solar First and SBU priority: Quote Solar first: Solar energy provides power to the loads as first priority. If solar energy is not sufficient to power all connected loads, battery energy will supply power the loads at the same time. Utility provides power to the loads only when any one condition happens: - Solar energy is not available - Battery voltage drops to either low-level warning voltage or the setting point in program 12 Quote SBU priority: Solar energy provides power to the loads as first priority. If solar energy is not sufficient to power all connected loads, battery energy will supply power to the loads at the same time. Utility provides power to the loads only when battery voltage drops to either low-level warning voltage or the setting point in program 12. Which is the better one to use?
