Growatt SPF 6000 ES Plus

Featured Replies

As luck would have it, as it often does, 2 days before a trip my inverter went pop. I knew that I would not have time for repair and needed to do something quickly. A quick shop around and I found an SPF 6000 ES Plus at a very good price. The supplier said he could get it to me in one day. Now this unit has 2 x mppt and my current one only had 0ne. Another quick call around and a local installer said he could help in the one day that I had left.

Duly the unit arrived and the next day the installers came. They are Growatt installers with an installer code. Have to admit they made a good job. Also have to admit that I am quite impressed with this unit. It is an off grid and as I am on pre paid now, suits me just fine. I looked at the Growatt 5000 series when I first installed and this unit is definitely a step up. 6kw with a max of 8 kw solar input. 2 x mppt, 500 vdc with 120 to 450 operating range. 100 amp solar charge and 80 AC.

I have attached the data sheet.

So far so good, this unit is by far outperforming my existing unit and with the web and app supplies some decent info on production and usage. if you are thinking of an upgrade, could be worth looking into.
