December 7, 20196 yr I am going to install my first Ongrid solar system that will export electricity to the national grid as well. I have following 3 x questions 1. Can I connect negative terminal of my PV array with earth/ground system? 2. Can I connect the lightning arrestor with DC earth/ground system? 3. Can I connect the neutral of inverter with the AC earth/ground system. Note: as per the utility company requirements there needs to be two seperate earth/ground electrodes buried in the ground (1 for each DC side and AC side of PV system) for protection of system from surges and fault currents.

May I ask where you stay, this isn't a common requirement.
December 9, 20196 yr 1. You can but don't have to if there is no regulation requiring. 2. Yes, you can. 3. If the inverter has its own grounding relay, do not ground the neutral wire; in case of grid failure, the inverter will take care of it.
