Bos
Good day, I have 12 x 3,2V 60A (192w/h) Lithium batteries which I connected in 3 blocks of 4 each to give me 12V for my camping fridge. At this stage, I cannot afford state of the art dc-dc dual battery system. I guess I cannot push 100A direct from alternator with a manual switch? Can I solar charge with a decent charge controller only or is MPPT advised? Thanks for any input regarding....
Louisvdw
As long as you can set the charge voltages you can use any solar charge controller (PWM or MPPT) With PWM it does not work well if you join panels in series. Then MPPT is preferred. So using 1 panel only, or only panels in parallel, then PWM is fine.
Solarphile
I agree with Louisvdw, either MPPT or pwm as long as voltages can be adjusted and also very, very importantly disable equalize charge.
