Geyser Consumption when "Idle"

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is a really silly question. But how many watts can I expect my geyser to use when it's not actively heating water? I have an engage efergy energy monitor hooked up to it and it's showing me 0.1-0.2 kw. and I haven't seen any spikes since I had it fitted yesterday lunch time. I don't do ceilings, so didn't fit it myself. It has a 3kW element in case anyone is interested.

Hmm yes it's a normal resistive element geyser... 200l and 2 of us in the house. Still seems odd that it's been idle for nearly 18 hours. But we've had 2 showers and 2 baths.
