Hi guys,

Is there anyone on here that applies settings using server.growatt.com?

Unfortunately I have found that the Growatt has limitations and some of the settings dont do what they are supposed to do.

This means sometimes i need to manually set the growatt to prepare for load shedding if it is at an unideal time.

My inverter is set to SOL for the Ac Output Source, but when i open the web interface and click on settings, it shows Uti priority.

My charging time was set to 2105. which i changed now back to 0000, but on the web interface it still shows 2105.

I am wondering if there is a large delay when changing settings on the inverter, to it updating the settings on the web interface.

Or if it doesn't update at all?

 

 

I've also noticed this.

Basically the settings on the app/website are not your actual inverter settings, it's just "default placeholder text" or something.

However, when you make a change in the app/website it will apply that setting to your inverter.

Since the settings don't reflect on the app, the only way to check what settings you actually have is to physically push the buttons on your inverter.

Yes im not even sure if the settings even properly apply. What is also dangerous about this is if they do apply, it looks like they apply ALL the settings instead of individual changes? if thats the case, you could screw your batteries with incorrect charging voltages and etc due to these place holders for those that dont have BMS. Looks like it is just better to steer clear from making changes via the apps as it is buggy at best.

I haven't tried changing settings with the web interface so I don't know about that, but in the android app you can only apply one setting at a time and it works perfectly.

 

EDIT: I figure the wifi dongle doesn't send settings data to the server, it only receives settings data. So I wouldn't call it a bug, it's just a missing feature.

Just took a look at the web interface and it does look like you change all the settings at once. In my view that's even better. Would have saved me time. And it looks like once you've set it up it saves your settings just like the app does.
